The Henry Street Urban Family Center is dedicated to addressing the issue of homelessness. It was established as the first transitional housing facility in New York in 1972. The center provides temporary, apartment-style housing for homeless families and offers an array of support services including case management, childcare, and employment resources. The goal of the center is to help families transition from homelessness to independent living.
