The YWCA Central Carolinas is a valuable resource for addressing homelessness in the Charlotte, North Carolina region. It offers several programs aimed at providing safe, affordable housing for women, children, and families in crisis. These include the Families Together program - a transitional housing program for homeless families; the Women in Transition program - a housing initiative for single, homeless women; and the Sankofa program which provides affordable housing for adults with chronic homelessness and disability. The organization's mission is to eliminate racism, empower women, promote peace, justice, dignity, and freedom for all.
