There Are Currently 455 Units Available Under Management by the Bennington Housing Authority. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Bennington Housing Authority Serves the Bennington, Metropolitan Area.
The Board of Aldermen set up the Bennington Housing Authority in 1970 to offer affordable housing options for low income seniors, disabled individuals, and families in the Town of Bennington. BHA currently oversees four affordable housing developments, owning and managing 195 apartments. These developments utilize project-based Section 8 vouchers to ensure affordability, regardless of income. Additionally, we administer 260 tenant-based Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers, allowing low income households to afford suitable housing of their preference.
