There Are Currently 387 Units Available Under Management by the Housing Authority of the City of Dubois. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Housing Authority of the City of Dubois Serves the Du Bois, Metropolitan Area.
The DuBois Housing Authority is a municipal authority that was created to administer and develop affordable housing for low income families in the City of DuBois. The Housing Authority was created in 1968. Today the Housing Authority provides assistance to families in DuBois City as well as Brady and Sandy townships through its Public Housing, Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program, Gray Foundation Apartments, and Shelter Plus Care Programs. The housing assistance to low income families is provided through two main programs, Public Housing and the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher programs. The Housing Authority owns and manages public housing apartments. Additional assistance is provided to families through the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program, Shelter Plus Care, and Gray Foundation Apartments.
