There Are Currently 684 Units Available Under Management by the Morton County Housing Authority. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Morton County Housing Authority Serves the Mandan, Metropolitan Area.
The Morton County Housing Authority was established under Section 23-11 of the North Dakota Century Code to provide safe and sanitary accommodations to the elderly, handicapped and low-income families. The Housing Authority is governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners who are appointed to five-year terms by the Morton County Board of Commissioners. The Morton County Housing Authority operates and administers subsidized housing with funding provided by the United States Department of Housing & Urban Development. The Housing Authority currently provides 684 Housing Choice Vouchers. The counties Morton County Housing Authority administers the voucher program include Grant, McLean, Oliver and Sioux as well as Morton.
