There Are Currently 207 Units Available Under Management by the Melvindale Housing Commission. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Melvindale Housing Commission Serves the Melvindale, Metropolitan Area.

The Melvindale Housing Commission (MHC) provides housing assistance to low-income residents of Wayne County, Michigan.  We currently serve over 300 households.   We manage one public housing development called Coogan Terrace. This apartment building has 199 one-bedroom apartments for elderly or disabled persons. We also administer tenant based rental assistance, commonly referred to as the Housing Choice Voucher Program.
