There Are Currently 1246 Units Available Under Management by the Westland Housing Commission. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Westland Housing Commission Serves the Westland, Metropolitan Area.

The Department of Housing and Community Development manages Westland's federally funded Community Development Block Grant, HOME and Housing Voucher programs. These programs provide a variety of activities for low-moderate Westland residents. Participants in these programs must meet federal income and family qualification guidelines. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development provides funding for these programs.
