There Are Currently 1364 Units Available Under Management by the Wyoming Housing Commission. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Wyoming Housing Commission Serves the Wyoming, Metropolitan Area.
The WHC owns 195 public housing units. They are located at Westwood Apartments, Waldon Woods, and scattered locations throughout the City of Wyoming. Individuals and families pay rent directly to the WHC based on their income. The WHC administers approximately 1,150 Housing Choice Vouchers (Section-8) within Kent County and part of Ottawa County. The families and individuals who receive the vouchers pay a portion of their income for rent and the WHC pays the remainder (up to the limits set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development - HUD) directly to the landlords each month.
