Description

There Are Currently 513 Units Available Under Management by the Westfield Housing Authority. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Westfield Housing Authority Serves the Westfield, Metropolitan Area.

The current participation of WHA tenants is through one active tenant association, where they provide their input on management issues in public housing projects, and help identify and prioritize maintenance and resident service needs. In addition to this, WHA operates various housing programs such as 62 units of state family public housing at Colonial Pine Acres, 26 units under the state Chapter 705 Program, 339 state-aided Elderly/Disabled units in the 667 Program, and 14 units for the disabled under the state 689 program. Apart from these programs, WHA also owns, operates, manages, and maintains 531 state-aided housing units, while subsidizing 284 federally funded section 8 vouchers.
