There Are Currently 197 Units Available Under Management by the Dartmouth Housing Authority. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Dartmouth Housing Authority Serves the Dartmouth, Metropolitan Area.

Established in 1963, our organization set up its first facility in South Dartmouth known as Sol-E-Mar, which was later occupied in 1967. Initially comprising of 44 units for elderly residents, this marked the humble beginnings of our organization. Over time, we expanded our reach and constructed a second site in North Dartmouth in 1980. Named Munroe Terrace, this establishment consists of 80 single bedroom apartments, including 8 units designed for individuals with disabilities. Throughout the years, the Dartmouth Housing Authority has also acquired a Section 8 program. This program has allowed us to assist 197 families and individuals in finding secure and affordable housing through Housing Choice and Preservation Vouchers. In October 2016, the Housing Authority, in collaboration with our non-profit entity, Partners in Housing, LLC., successfully completed an extensive 8-year project. This project involved renovating and expanding the former State Police barracks located at 262 State Rd. As a result, we were able to create 9 units of low-income housing specifically tailored for veterans in need.
