There Are Currently 431 Units Available Under Management by the Housing Authority of the City of Morgan City. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Housing Authority of the City of Morgan City Serves the Morgan City, Metropolitan Area.
The Morgan City Housing Authority is the largest public housing authority in St. Mary Parish. As such, the MCHA houses approximately 3 percent of the city’s residents through its programs. In addition to providing conventional public housing, the MCHA also provides affordable housing through the administration of several rental assistance programs. These programs include the federal Section 8 Voucher Program, as well as the state funded Rental Voucher Program that is overseen by the Department of Housing and Community Development.
The Project Has 194 Total Buildings. The Units Consists Of Both Public Housing And Section 8 Apartment Units.
