There Are Currently 60 Units Available Under Management by the Housing Authority of the Town of New Roads. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Housing Authority of the Town of New Roads Serves the New Roads, Metropolitan Area.

The Housing Authority New Roads (HANR) was established in 1972 to provide affordable housing to low income families, in accordance with the United States Housing Act of 1937. To ensure fair treatment and efficient operation of public housing units, HANR has developed standard policies and procedures. These policies, including Admission and Continued Occupancy and Administrative Policies, comply with federal and state regulations. They also recognize that the availability of decent, safe, and affordable housing depends on social, economic, and physical factors.
