Jurors are elected from the nine districts within the parish and serve for a four-year period. The Jury supervises the functioning of the parish, enforces regulations and resolutions to safeguard the well-being of its residents and businesses, and authorizes the yearly budget and millage rate that finances the operations of the offices and departments under its authority.
