There Are Currently 70 Units Available Under Management by the Housing Authority of the City of Social Circle. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Housing Authority of the City of Social Circle Serves the Social Circle, Metropolitan Area.

In 1951, the Housing Authority of the City of Social Circle was established in compliance with the housing laws of Georgia. Its primary objective is to offer and oversee affordable housing options for individuals residing in Social Circle, GA. The Authority operates under the guidance and regulations set forth by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), administering a housing program consisting of 70 units. Tenant rents are determined based on HUD guidelines and the financial qualifications of the tenants. The Authority is overseen by a board of commissioners appointed by the City mayor, serving staggered 5-year terms. It is required that at least one commissioner be a resident of the Authority. Additionally, the administrative staff also manages Housing Authorities for the Cities of Monroe, Madison, and Loganville, GA. It is important to note that the Housing Authority does not receive direct funding from the City of Social Circle.
