There Are Currently 249 Units Available Under Management by the Housing Authority of the City of Calhoun. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Housing Authority of the City of Calhoun Serves the Calhoun, Metropolitan Area.

In 1950, the Authority was founded under the State Housing Authorities' Law, primarily with the aim of constructing affordable housing for low-income households. However, as our community evolved, we recognized the need to broaden our scope and address the housing needs in a more holistic manner. Consequently, we began to prioritize not only the construction of physical structures but also embarked on initiatives to revitalize the community through redevelopment. Furthermore, we actively facilitated various projects and programs that bring positive outcomes to Calhoun, its residents, and its communities.
