There Are Currently 250 Units Available Under Management by the Monroe County Housing Authority. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Monroe County Housing Authority Serves the Key West, Metropolitan Area.
Created by the Board of County Commissioners and organized in 1970, the Monroe County Housing Authority owns, manages, develops and administers Federal, State and local affordable workforce housing programs and grants for very low income to moderate income families in our community. The Monroe County Housing Authority currently owns 50 public housing units, 130 multi-family project-based units, 45 affordable housing units, and 200 Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8).
