There Are Currently 1406 Units Available Under Management by the Alachua County. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Alachua County Serves the Gainesville, Metropolitan Area.
We provide rental subsidies and manage affordable Public Housing units for low income families, seniors, and persons with disabilities throughout Alachua County, Florida. The Alachua County Housing Authority was founded in 1967. The first 200 Public Housing units were built in 1971 and the remaining built in 1985. The Authority received its first Section 8 Vouchers in 1976.
