There Are Currently 10464 Units Available Under Management by the Housing Authority of the County Contra Costa. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Housing Authority of the County Contra Costa Serves the Martinez, Metropolitan Area.
The Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa provides rental subsidies and manages and develops affordable housing for low income families, seniors and persons with disabilities in Contra Costa County. The Housing Authority is a public corporation separate and distinct from HUD, from county government, and from other county and state agencies - much like a special district. The governing Board of Commissioners consists of six members - the five members of the Board of Supervisors, and a “Resident” member who participates in one of the major programs operated by the Housing Authority.
