There Are Currently 375 Units Available Under Management by the Lawrence County Public Housing Agency. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Lawrence County Public Housing Agency Serves the Walnut Ridge, Metropolitan Area.

The Lawrence County Public Housing Agency manages the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Rental Assistance Program.  This is the Federal Government's major program for assisting very low-income families, elderly and disabled families to afford decent, safe and sanitary housing in the private market.  Since Housing Assistance Payments is provided on behalf of the family or individuals, participants are able to find their own housing including single family houses, apartments or mobile homes.
