There Are Currently 509 Units Available Under Management by the Cullman Housing Authority. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Cullman Housing Authority Serves the Cullman, Metropolitan Area.
The Cullman Housing Authority is a public housing authority chartered under the laws of the State of Alabama in 1949. The Authority is governmental in nature, but is not a part of the general city, county or state government. CHA uses no local tax revenue in its operation, but derives the majority of its revenue from rents and Federal Subsidies. Historically, the Authority is best known for administration of traditional housing programs including the Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) programs.
