The Des Moines YMCA Supportive Housing Campus is a community solution to help eliminate homelessness by providing hope, dignity, and support in the form of permanent supportive housing. This housing program provides essential resources such as a fully furnished apartment, utilities, laundry facilities, a computer lab, and various community spaces. Apart from these, it also offers critical supportive services like a food pantry, community meals, physical and mental health services, job placement, financial literacy, and substance abuse recovery support. The aim is to help individuals gain stability and work towards self-sufficiency and, ultimately, end homelessness in the Des Moines area.
