There Are Currently 949 Units Available Under Management by the Clarksburg/harrison Housing Authority. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Clarksburg/harrison Housing Authority Serves the Clarksburg, Metropolitan Area.

The City Council of Clarksburg officially established the Housing Authority of the City of Clarksburg on September 19, 1966. This decision was made in accordance with Chapter 93 of the Acts of the Legislature of West Virginia, Second Extraordinary Session, which granted the authority to establish such an organization. Shortly after, on September 23, 1966, the Commissioners of the Clarksburg Housing Authority gathered for their inaugural regular meeting. Moving forward, these board meetings will take place on the last Thursday of each month at 5:00 p.m., at the Authority's new Central Office Complex.
