There Are Currently 216 Units Available Under Management by the Housing Authority of the Town of Windsor. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Housing Authority of the Town of Windsor Serves the Windsor, Metropolitan Area.
The Windsor Housing Authority was created to provide safe, decent and affordable housing to its elderly and disabled citizens. Commissioners serve without compensation and cannot serve on any other Town governmental body, either elected or appointed Board or Commission. The Commissioners, with the assistance of an executive director and staff, operate two distinct programs: the Elderly and Disabled Housing Program, located at Millbrook Village and Shad Run Terrace, and the Section 8 Rental Assistance Program.
