Established in 1970, the South Central Alabama Regional Housing Authority is responsible for supplying secure and hygienic housing to eligible individuals with low income who live in the South Central Alabama region. This Housing Authority operates as a public corporation, fully compliant with the regulations outlined in the Code of Alabama 1975, Title 24, CH 1, Article 3. It is overseen by a Board of Commissioners consisting of five members, all appointed to their positions.
