These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Housing Authority of the City of Huntington Serves the Huntington, Metropolitan Area.
The Huntington West Virginia Housing Authority (HWVHA) was established in 1938. Currently the HWVHA administers the Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCV), Public Housing, Permanent Supportive Housing Program, Mainstream, Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH), Family Unification Program (FUP), Moderate Rehabilitation Program (MOD Rehab), Project Based Vouchers (PBV) .
