There Are Currently 205 Units Available Under Management by the Sawyer County Housing Authority. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Sawyer County Housing Authority Serves the Hayward, Metropolitan Area.
In the early 1970s the Sawyer County Government recognized the need for affordable housing in Sawyer County and thereby created the Sawyer County Housing Authority. While the housing authority was created by Sawyer County, it is a separate entity and acts independently of the county government. Office staff includes an Account Clerk, Occupancy Specialist, Maintenance Director, and Executive Director.
