There Are Currently 132 Units Available Under Management by the Monroe County Housing Authority. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Monroe County Housing Authority Serves the Sparta, Metropolitan Area.

For nearly 40 years, the Monroe County Housing Authority has provided those over 62 and challenged individuals with safe, affordable homes. Each building is independent living free of maintenance with snow removal and lawn care. Rent is 30% of all income with medical expenses and utility costs subtracted. Rent is capped for moderate income tenants. In addition to the elderly and challenged united Monroe County Housing Authority also has family housing in Tomah, WI and participates in the federally funded Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program.
