There Are Currently 132 Units Available Under Management by the Monroe County Housing Authority. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Monroe County Housing Authority Serves the Sparta, Metropolitan Area.

The Monroe County Housing Authority has been offering secure and reasonably priced homes to individuals aged 62 and above, as well as those facing challenges, for almost four decades. Our buildings provide independent living, relieving residents from the burden of maintenance tasks such as snow removal and lawn care. Rent is structured to be 30% of the individual's income, after subtracting medical expenses and utility costs. We also have a rent cap for tenants with moderate incomes. Moreover, aside from serving the elderly and individuals facing challenges, the Monroe County Housing Authority also provides family housing in Tomah, WI and actively participates in the federally funded Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program.
