There Are Currently 933 Units Available Under Management by the Housing Authority of the City of Baytown. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Housing Authority of the City of Baytown Serves the Baytown, Metropolitan Area.
Baytown Housing Authority (BHA) has served this community since 1940. BHA is governed by a Board of Commissioners appointed by the mayor. BHA currently operates 112 Public Housing units at Dezavala Courts, Edison Courts, Olive Courts and Sam Houston Place; and manages 833 Housing Choice Vouchers. BHA also owns 30 housing units at Lincoln Courts Apartments under the Texas Department of Housing & Community Affairs. BHA also owns 36 mixed finance units at Alexander Place Apartments. BHA is actively developing new housing units to increase the availability of affordable housing in the community.
