There Are Currently 579 Units Available Under Management by the Elizabethton Housing and Development Agency. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Elizabethton Housing and Development Agency Serves the Elizabethton, Metropolitan Area.

The Elizabethton Housing and Development Agency (EHDA) is a non-profit corporation that operates under the guidance of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). It is supported by federal subsidies and follows both federal and state laws. In collaboration with the City of Elizabethton, the EHDA has a partnership agreement that establishes a governing body consisting of five Commissioners. These Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor and serve a five-year term. The primary goal of the EHDA is to provide affordable and safe housing to low and moderate-income families. This is achieved through various programs such as Public Housing, Section Eight Voucher, and Section Eight Moderate Rehab programs.
