There Are Currently 75 Units Available Under Management by the Options for Community Living. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Options for Community Living Serves the Centereach, Metropolitan Area.
Options was founded in 1982 to address the demand for housing assistance for individuals with severe mental illness. In 1994, Options expanded its services to include case management and housing support for those on Long Island who are affected by HIV/AIDS. Over time, this program has grown to include support for individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS and disabilities. Additionally, Options collaborates with Long Island Health Homes to provide care coordination services to Medicaid beneficiaries, both adults and children, with chronic illnesses through the Access to Care Program.
