There Are Currently 177 Units Available Under Management by the Herkimer Housing Authority. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Herkimer Housing Authority Serves the Herkimer, Metropolitan Area.
The Herkimer Housing Authority was established in 1951 to offer safe, decent, affordable housing to low-income families, disabled individuals and Veterans, and senior citizens in the Village of Herkimer. At the present time we serve 52 families under Section 8 Housing. In addition, we have 3 apartment complexes, Mid-Town apartments, Eastern Gardens and Creekside Courts. We have 175 families housed in these 3 apartment complexes.
The Project Has 14 Total Buildings. The Units Consists Of Both Public Housing And Section 8 Apartment Units.
