There Are Currently 524 Units Available Under Management by the Poughkeepsie Housing Authority. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Poughkeepsie Housing Authority Serves the Poughkeepsie, Metropolitan Area.

The poughkeepsie housing authority was established in 1952. The authority currently manages 5 public housing sites with 359 units, housing approximately 1200 residents. They are as follows: hudson gardens apartments located at 120 hudson avenue, poughkeepsie, ny 12601; thurgood marshall terrace located at 109 delafield street, poughkeepsie, ny 12601; martin luther king jr. Garden apartments located at 159 washington street, poughkeepsie, ny 12601; dr. Joseph brady garden apartments located at 11 boulevard knolls, poughkeepsie, ny 12601; and phillip allen swartz apartments located at 378 mansion street, poughkeepsie, ny 12601. In addition, through federally funded section 8 housing program, we have vouchers to assist 87 families and 60 vash vouchers to assist veterans with housing needs.
