There Are Currently 727 Units Available Under Management by the Housing Authority of the City of Concord. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Housing Authority of the City of Concord Serves the Concord, Metropolitan Area.

The City of Concord Housing Department (CHD) has been instrumental in offering housing options to low-income and moderate-income residents of Concord for more than six decades. Since its establishment in 1956, CHD has overseen 174 Public Housing units across four housing communities, namely Mary Chapman Homes, Logan Homes, Wilkerson Homes, and Larkhaven. Additionally, we administer over 500 Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8) that provide rental assistance to families renting housing units throughout Cabarrus County. Moreover, the Concord Housing Department manages various rental properties located in different neighborhoods. In August 2011, we collaborated with the City of Concord and Douglas Development, LLC to construct the Villas at Logan Gardens, a 44-unit apartment complex dedicated to senior citizens.
