There Are Currently 143 Units Available Under Management by the Winchester Housing Authority. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Winchester Housing Authority Serves the Winchester, Metropolitan Area.
The Winchester Housing Authority is authorized to manage the construction, financing, maintenance and rental policies for low-income families, elderly and disabled. WHA reports to the state and federal government concerning their respective programs. WHA manages 112 Chapter 667 public housing units for senior and disabled citizens, 9 units of chapter 705 housing for families and 4 WHA owned units. In addition, WHA administers 143 Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
