These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Housing Authority of the City of Bloomington Serves the Bloomington, Metropolitan Area.
The Bloomington Housing Authority (BHA) was established in 1947 with the mission to provide low income families decent, safe, sanitary housing and to empower them to build self-sufficiency and pride. Today, the Bloomington Housing Authority provides affordable housing to approximately 600 households in public housing and more than 650 households under the Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8).
