There Are Currently 380 Units Available Under Management by the Wytheville Redev. & Housing Authority. These Low-income Housing Units Consist of Section 8, Public Housing, and Low-income Housing Tax Credit Properties. the Wytheville Redev. & Housing Authority Serves the Wytheville, Metropolitan Area.

The Wytheville Redevelopment and Housing (WRHA) was established in 1968 with the aim of offering cost-effective housing options to low-income families in Wytheville, Virginia. Over the years, the agency expanded its services by developing additional public housing units in 1983. Since 1999, the WRHA has significantly increased its affordable housing offerings through a range of programs such as the Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCV), Project Based Voucher Program (PBV), Mainstream Vouchers, and Tax Credits. These initiatives have facilitated the creation of new, affordable apartments across the town.
